The fossils collected by PaleoServices personnel are not destined to sit unseen in some dusty drawer in the basement of the San Diego Natural History Museum. Instead, these significant remains of ancient life are now available for scientific study by professional scientists, students, and interested members of the public.
Like books in a library, the fossils are "checked out" for study and are often sent on loan to researchers across the Nation. Researchers and students also visit the Museum to study specimens as part of larger research projects. It is noteworthy, that without professional preservation and storage, these significant fossils would be unavailable for study.
It is this focus on the educational and scientific value of fossils that separates PaleoServices from other providers of paleontological resource services.
