Fee: $235 per 1.5-hour class. Each additional class in the same school and same classroom is $160.
Group Size: 32 per 1.5-hour class (10 students minimum).
Classes may not be combined.

Take the long journey through geologic time as rocks and fossils form the Earth’s crust. Model the rock cycle and discover the patterns of fossil formation and solve the mystery behind fossils found in San Diego County.

Mesozoic Mysteries
Pre-K-Kindergarten 
Come compare survival techniques of some of the most mysterious animals to have walked the earth. Classify dinosaurs, touch real fossils and take home dinosaur prints made out of clay.

Mammals Classified
Pre-K-Kindergarten  
Come explore the world of mammals. Learn fun songs about mammals and where mammals live in the world.

This class is a Pre-K version of the “All About Mammals” class which is appropriate for Kindergarten and 1 st grade.

All about Mammals New!
1 st grade
Come experience what it’s like to be a mammal. Investigate teeth, fur, and bones to collect clues to decode the mystery animal. Dress up like a mammal to learn the unique anatomy of these furry creatures.
This class is the advanced version of the Pre-K class “Mammals Classified” and includes different and more advanced activities.

Make scientific observations of nature and uncover the secrets needed to understand the world around us. Investigate feathers, shells, skulls, and other museum specimens.

Survivor
3 rd Grade
Watch how the habitats of San Diego have changed over time. Make observations and inferences and construct arguments about how these changes occurred. Model how animals with special adaptations survive when the environment changes.

Elements are the building blocks of all matter. Hypothesize and conduct experiments to determine physical reactions from chemical reactions and to see if air has mass.
