Kids Free in October

In October, kids go free

Presented by the San Diego Museum Council and ScholarShare529, Kids Free in October offers museum-goers the opportunity to more than 40 destinations, including The Nat, at a fraction of the price.

During the month of October, children 12 and under will receive free general admission to The Nat with a paid adult* OR can pay $5 to enjoy access to unlimited 2D and 3D films in the giant-screen theater. Free admission is available for up to two kids for every adult full-price ticket purchase. To participate, download the Kids Free in October coupon and present the voucher at the admissions desk.

Download the coupon and see a full list of participating venues.

Tiny tots will love our new, indoor play space, The Backyard, for the 5 and under set. Kids of all ages will enjoy new exhibitions like Unshelved: Cool Stuff from Storage as well as old favorites like Fossil Mysteries.

Kids Free in October is an opportunity for thousands of families to enjoy museum experiences each year—nearly 20,000 kids participated in the program in 2017. From learning about dinosaurs and military heroes to astronauts and artists, kids get to explore cultural destinations and attractions across the county. Families may be surprised to learn how many museums and cultural institutions are located across the San Diego region—from the Oceanside Museum of Art down to the Tijuana Estuary Visitor Center in Imperial Beach.

*Free general admission does not include 3D films. Coupon must be presented at time of visit. No retroactive discounts. Limit two free child admissions per paid adult. Cannot be combined with other offers. Balboa Park Explorer Passes are not eligible or included for Kids Free in October.
