Special guest on September 13: Join author and illustrator Rachel Ignotofsky in the Charmaine and Maurice Kaplan Theater at 7 PM. She will host a short talk and book signing for Women in Art: 50 Fearless Creatives Who Inspired The World. The Flying Squirrel Cafe will be open until 8:30 PM. Books will be available for purchase.

Kick off your weekends at The Nat this summer. We’ll be open until 10 PM on most Thursday and Fridays* from May 30-August 30 (including some dates in September), with half-price admission after 5 PM. As always, Explorer passholders and members of The Nat receive free general admission, and members receive a 10% discount on food and beverages. Not a member? Join today.

The Museum is jam-packed with immersive exhibitions and incredible new 3D nature documentaries. Pop-up programming on select dates, including rooftop trivia on Thursdays at 7 PM. Our rooftop bar, which opens at 5 PM both Thursdays and Fridays, offers one of the best views in Balboa Park. It’s open to all visitors and serves beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks including kids’ beverages. Street tacos, ceviche, and poke are also available for purchase.

Please note: access to the rooftop is available to museum visitors with paid admission, which supports the Museum's conservation and education programs.**

We’re also offering special evening access to Escape The Nat, our natural history-themed escape room. Pricing is $30 per person ($20 for members and Explorers) and includes admission to the Museum.
