The Big Exchage is a collaboration between the San Diego Museum Council and the San Diego County Membership Managers Collaborative.
How do I claim the discount?
Apply code BIG15 at checkout when joining or renewing online at sdnhm.org/membership. You can also email us at membership@sdnhm.org or call 619.232.3821, and we'll take care of it for you. This offer is valid through April 30, 2026.
Does the discount apply to renewals as well as new memberships?
Yes—code BIG15 is valid for both new members and current members renewing or upgrading their membership.
How do I show my membership at participating Big Exchange museums?
The Nat issues digital cards to the email address associated with your membership. Simply pull it up on your phone to present at any participating museum.

Does my membership cover my whole family for The Big Exchange?
Reciprocal admission is based on your membership level, with a maximum of 4 people. Policies may vary slightly by participating museum.
Please note that the Balboa Park Explorer Pass and Go San Diego Card are not accepted as part of this program.
Will my Nat membership be accepted at all Big Exchange museums?
Your Nat membership is accepted at all participating destinations. Some locations have restrictions, limited hours, or require reservations. It's worth checking the organization’s listing before you visit.
