In December 2003 the San Diego Natural History
Museum, in collaboration with the Irvine Museum, premiered its new

This
exhibition displays 80 stunning watercolor paintings of California
plants painted in the early 1900s by Albert R. Valentien. Although
the exhibition closed in San Diego in September 2004, it is now touring other venues.
