When the three other museum publications series were discontinued, the Proceedings was created to encompass all scientific works. In some cases, short papers on the same general subject have been bound into a single volume and are not available as separates in the printed format. As downloads, they are available separately. In other cases, full-length books are presented, which are only available in printed format. The Proceedings are currently the only scientific publication of the museum.
