Placing the Museum in Your Will ![]() It’s easy, safe and when combined with other bequests, makes a significant impact on the future of the Museum. Americans making gifts from their wills to support charity is the most common way of making an estate gift. Many Live Oaks Society members prefer this way to give because they can support themselves first while leaving a meaningful gift to the Museum later. Making a gift from your will can be as simple as naming the Museum and stating what you choose to give.
Information for your attorney: San Diego Natural History Museum, 501c(3) non-profit organization, Tax ID# 95-1643375, P. O. Box 121390. San Diego, California 92112-1390, Phone 619.255.0190, Website: www.sdnhm.org. Bequest suggestions of what to give: You may name a specific dollar amount, percentage of your estate, a specific asset, a collection, or the “rest and residue” (the remainder) of your estate to benefit the San Diego Natural History Museum. You may also consider naming the Museum on the beneficiary designation form of the following assets: bank and checking accounts, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts (IRA), annuities or life insurance policies. |
