The Museum welcomes children of all ability levels in its educational programs. If a scout has a special need, please let us know upon registration, so that we can make respectful accommodations.

Girl and Boy Scout Programs Fall 2007–Summer 2008
Enjoy a day of fun, exploration, and fulfill badge and patch requirements. Conduct experiments, meet scientists, examine specimens, tour the Museum, and more!
- All badge requirements are met unless otherwise indicated (subject to change). Badges and patches are not included and must be ordered by the troop leader.
- All programs include a self-guided visit through Museum exhibitions, excluding separately priced exhibitions.
- A ratio of one adult per eight scouts is required. Additional adults are welcome, but will pay an additional fee.
- Scouts must stay with troop leaders at all times.
- Scouts are encouraged to bring a snack to workshops.

Self-guided Visits
Discover engaging exhibitions and giant-screen films with your troop! From dinosaurs to wildfire, learn about nature in a hands-on way. Some badge requirements are met. Group rate is $4 per scout; $6 per leader/adult. Call 619.255.0210 for reservations.

After-school workshops for scouts now available!
Let the Museum help you earn a badge. Call 619.255.0203 to schedule an after-school program just for your den/troop at the Museum. Most badge requirements completed.
Time: 75 minutes, must be completed by 5 PM.
Days: Weekdays by arrangement.
Price: $8/scout, (minimum 10 scouts) includes same-day admission to the Museum’s general-admission galleries and giant-screen films.

Webelos Cub Scout Geologist Activity Badge.
Guided Nature Walks Near and Far
Hike all around San Diego County with your very own naturalist! Identify and learn about plants and animals along the way. Some badge requirements are met. Scout rate is $2 per person and reservations are required two weeks in advance. Call 619.255.0203 or visit Canyoneers for details.
