See the Dead Sea Scrolls and stay to experience the Park. There are several institutions in Balboa Park with related content to the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition.

We highly recommend using public transportation. Whether by train, bus, or car, arrive early to Balboa Park to secure parking and enjoy the many cultural offerings of the Park.

Please note: To help preserve the Dead Sea Scrolls, lights are low and temperatures are kept between 68–70° F in the gallery. If you are sensitive to colder climates, please bring appropriate clothing.

American Sign Language Interpreters Available

On the second Saturday of each month through December, the Museum will have volunteer American Sign Language interpreters available for the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition. The interpreters will be available July 14, August 11, September 8, October 13, November 10, and December 8, 2007, from 9 AM–4 PM.

Each interpreter will tour 2–3 people at a time through the exhibition. The interpreters are either certified or currently working/interning in American Sign Language. Visitors needing a sign-language interpreter should enter the Museum at its south entrance and tell a Visitor Services representative that they would like an ALS interpreter.
