The 2009 Dos Aguilas Binational Fiesta was a wonderful event. It was an evening in which we celebrated the successes of the Museum as well as the accomplishments of the honorees: Enrique Gamboa Núñez, President, Boys and Girls Club of Mexico /Club de Niños y Niñas de México A.C. and Richard Kiy President and CEO, International Community Foundation. In recognition of his work at the San Diego Natural History Museum, we also presented a special Excellence in Service award to Dr. Exequiel Ezcurra, former Museum Provost and Director of the Binational Research Center of the Californias.
Proceeds from the event will help provide critical support to the Museum’s binational science and education programs, which include scientific research expeditions and publications, exciting exhibitions and films, youth programs and outreach programs. Monies raised will also help further the Museum’s mission to publicly express its commitment to binational understanding, education and partnership within the Southern California and Baja California peninsula region.
Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, vendors, attendees and volunteers. The event would not have been a success without your contributions.
