The Museum offers a 4-month; 8 hours per week unpaid internship for high school students 16 years and older. Students rotate through four departments during the internship: Entomology, Paleontology, Botany, and Herpetology. Training and guidance is provided. At least one course in general biology and a strong interest in science and the natural world is required. Patience, dexterity, attention to detail, and a tolerance for dust and dirt are needed. Students enrolled in programs in biology, ecology, geology, and other life and earth sciences may be eligible for an unpaid internship for course credit in one of the science departments. Internships require a formal agreement with the school. Please complete the intern application to apply. Include the name of the school you are attending and your college major.
