The Museum offers a 4-month; 8 hours per week unpaid internship for high school students 16 years and older. Students may concentrate in any one of the following science departments or choose to rotate through one of more during the internship: Entomology, Paleontology, Botany, and Herpetology. Training and guidance is provided. At least one course in general biology and an interest in science and the natural world is required. Patience, dexterity, attention to detail, and a tolerance for dust and dirt are needed. To apply complete the intern application. Students enrolled in programs in biology, ecology, geology, and other life and earth sciences may be eligible for an unpaid internship in one of the science departments.
