Admission Tickets
Tickets may be purchased in advance online, by phone, or in person now.
Tickets for the exhibition are timed in 15-minute intervals to prevent the exhibition from becoming over crowded and to enhance the visitor experience. You must purchase tickets for a specific date AND time. Your tickets are only valid for the date and time printed on the ticket. Once inside, you may view the exhibition at your own pace.

Large bags and backpacks are not allowed in the exhibition. Use of cameras, cell phones,
other recording devices, flashlights and/or light-enhancement devices is strictly
prohibited. No food or drink is allowed in the exhibition halls or theater.See important safety and security information below.
Museum Safety and Security
The Museum has taken extraordinary care to provide a clean, safe, and secure environment for all our guests and to insure the integrity of the exhibitions. For these reasons, the following safety and security measures have been implemented:
- For the duration of Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition, all Museum visitors will be required to undergo a bag inspection prior to admission. All handbags, purses, belt-packs, backpacks, diaper bags and other containers/parcels of any type will be inspected.
- The following items are strictly prohibited and will not be allowed in the Museum: weapons of any kind (handguns, bladed objects, chemical agent sprays, stun guns, batons, etc.); illegal substances; flammable substances; caustic liquids; explosive materials or devices; anything else deemed potentially harmful to other persons or objects in the exhibitions.
- The Museum will not be responsible for personal property. All non-essential items should be left secured inside your vehicle or elsewhere. There are no lockers or other forms of temporary storage available to secure personal possessions on-site.
- Photography, video recording and audio recording are prohibited at all times in the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition.
- All mobile communication devices, including camera-enabled cell phones, must be turned off in order to preserve the Museum experience.

Public Programs
The Museum will be offering a robust educational
program, which will include lectures, films, classes, and audio tours.
Among the programs is a Mediterranean-themed dinner cruise on San Diego
Bay, planned for spring of 2007. Additionally, a teachers guide for use
in schools, home schools, synagogues and churches will be available. Check
our website in the Spring for Dead
Sea Scroll related programs.
