In the Living Room, observe live plants and animals and experiment with natural processes. This is a place to get messy!

Touch a live lizard, snake, or beetle.
Explore inside and outside an oak tree, and see what lives there.
Plant an acorn and other seeds, take them home and watch them grow.
Dissect a flower, a cactus, or a seed pod.
Look through a microscope at tiny living things.
Use the riverbed and sea shore table to erode canyons and sea cliffs, or cause a catastrophic landslide.
Conduct water experiments on density, osmosis, heat, currents, and the Coriolis effect.
Make animal tracks and learn how to identify animals in the field.
