Accomplishments
PROBEA enhances the educational experiences of students and the action
projects of volunteers through teacher/educator workshops and community
events. Since 1993, PROBEA has accomplished the following:
- 3079 educators from 790+ schools/institutions have participated
in at least one PROBEA workshop. (88,600+ students have been taught
by these educators);
- 1500 students have been taught directly through PROBEA programs;
- 358 Promotores Comunitarios (Community Volunteers) have participated
in workshops;
- 15,700+ individuals have participated in community events;
- 225+ organizations/institutions have partnered with PROBEA;
- 34 educators from eleven different schools/family groups produced
52 community projects involving 800 students and community
members in 2004-2005;
- 63 educators from 14 schools/family groups produced 45 school
and community projects involving 1250 students and community members
in 2005-2006.

for Tijuana River Watershed CD-ROM
- 2003 US EPA Region 9 Environmental Achievement Award
- 2001 San Diego Dialogue Civic Excellence Award for Cross-border
Collaboration
