"Strategic planning for the next ten
years focuses on the programs...and their distance
learning capability for new approaches to education both on and off site."
|
The San Diego Natural History Museum's 1992-2002 ten-year plan emphasized the building of infrastructure, and the most visible result is our new and renovated building with its Charmaine and Maurice Kaplan Theater and Environmental Science Education Center.
Strategic planning for the next ten
years focuses on the programs that will use these spaces and their distance
learning capability for new approaches to education both on and off site. To
that end, the Museum has solicted feedback from leading educators and established an Educational Advisory Committee
for future permanent exhibits planning. As part of the ongoing
strategic planning process, an Education Task Force will
articulate key education goals for the next ten years and develop objectives
and strategies to realize them.
