The 25-person Board of Directors is the overall policy-setting body for the Museum and has final decision-making authority. A principal responsibility of the board is to oversee and support Museum-wide strategic planning. Seven board members serve on the Strategic Planning Team.

After the year of committees, focus groups, meetings, and research, our "road map" to the future will be presented to the Board of Directors for approval on July 11, 2002.
