This exhibit closed May 23, 2010
The Ordover Gallery at the San Diego Natural History Museum is pleased to present the photography exhibition Charles Cramer: Lyrical Landscapes, featuring work by renowned fine-art photographer Charles Cramer.
Cramer, a master printmaker with rare expertise in dye-transfer printing, and an accomplished digital printmaker, has been photographing the landscape for 30 years. National Geographic Books, Sierra Club, and the Yosemite Association have published images by Cramer.
The National Park Service selected Cramer to be artist-in-residence for Yosemite in 1987, and again for 2010. Cramer has taught digital imaging for the Ansel Adams Gallery Workshops, Anderson Ranch Workshops, the Lepp Institute of Digital Imaging, and others. He has been profiled in PhotoTechniques, PhotoVision, and View Camera Magazine. Cramer’s work is included in the book, Landscape: The World’s Top Photographers (Rotovision, 2003).
Accompanying the work of Charles Cramer will be photographs by Olof Carmel, Abe Ordover, Peter Fay, and Tom O Scott.
All artwork in The Ordover Gallery is for sale; a substantial portion of proceeds will benefit the Museum. The Ordover Gallery’s imagery and artists’ biographies can be viewed at www.ordovergallery.com.
