From Polar Bears to Penguins
Preschool–Kindergarten
Cool off this summer as we encounter the fascinating worlds of the Earth’s two Polar Regions, the Arctic and Antarctic, through the exhibition, Ends of the Earth: From Polar Bears to Penguins. Spend the week absorbed with polar wildlife, making polar crafts, and waddling like a penguin. Get ready to chill out!

Polar Explorers
Grades 1–2
Journey to the North and South Poles as we visit two of the last great wilderness areas on our planet, the regions of the Arctic and Antarctic. We will investigate the adaptations of polar wildlife and take a close look at polar geography and exploration through the new exhibition, Ends of the Earth: From Polar Bears to Penguins. Make polar-inspired crafts, cozy up to polar bears, and partake in some “cool” activities. This will be the only time you can visit the poles wearing shorts!

Journey to the Poles
Grades 3–5
Cool down warm summer days with trips to the North and South Poles. Explore the regions of the Arctic and Antarctic as we investigate adaptations of polar wildlife. Take a close look at polar climate change, geography, and exploration through the new exhibition, Ends of the Earth: From Polar Bears to Penguins. Visit the San Diego Zoo, make polar-inspired crafts, and “chill out” with polar activities. Come learn how to “be cool” with the experts—polar bears and penguins!
