The blue sky didn't come out today, nor did the blue whales. However we saw plenty of common dolphins; first, a large pod early in the cruise and later several smaller pods throughout the day. Passengers had a good look at a fairly large mola mola (ocean sunfish). Although we weren't fortunate enough to observe the blue whales today, a different whale-watching vessel observed three good sized blue whales in the late afternoon at an exact spot we had visited earlier in the day! So, they're still in the area and we look forward to seeing the blue whales, as well as other species of the ocean's giants on future cruises.
