This photo shows the rebar being installed for the wet range footings. This is basically the bottom of the the pit. With a few exceptions, this is the lowest part of the building. The wet range is the area where our "wet" collections are stored -- snakes, lizards, and other specimens in jars of alcohol. Fun Fact: Mike Karam, Field Superintendent for Ninteman Construction says that there are 93,000 pounds of steel rebar and over 280 cubic yards of concrete in the wet range footings alone!
