Photo of rebar in wet range, by Tim Murray, 10 June 1999

This photo shows the rebar being installed for the wet range footings. This is basically the bottom of the the pit. With a few exceptions, this is the lowest part of the building. The wet range is the area where our "wet" collections are stored -- snakes, lizards, and other specimens in jars of alcohol.

Fun Fact: Mike Karam, Field Superintendent for Ninteman Construction says that there are 93,000 pounds of steel rebar and over 280 cubic yards of concrete in the wet range footings alone!
